• We accept files in .jpeg or .tiff file formats, in RGB mode.
NOTE: While .jpeg files are perfectly acceptable – especially if you are not doing significant enlargements, .tiff files are preferable, lending greater detail and clarity to the finished print, which is especially important when working with enlargements.
• Files should be high-resolution, with a minimum of 300 dpi/ppi (dots per inch/pixels per inch), to ensure there’s enough data for your edition.
• Your file sizes will likely range from 40mb – 250mb.
NOTE: When working with smaller prints, smaller file sizes work wonderfully, but don’t necessarily scale well, if you’d like to create larger print sizes. So, the larger your file size, the more data it contains and the more stunning your enlargements will be.
For example:
If you were working with a file that had 360 dpi/ppi, then a 29.7mb file would make a spectacular 8x10. However, if you wanted to achieve the same clarity at 16x20 or 20x30, those file sizes would need to be much larger (containing more data), coming in at 118mb or 226mb, respectively.
File Delivery
There are three simple ways to deliver your digital file to us:
1. The easiest way to get started, is to take advantage of our quick and efficient upload process.
NOTE: Be aware that, depending on your internet connection speed and file size, you might find the upload process speedy or frustratingly slow. To clarify, the same 100mb .tiff could take 30 minutes to upload via a 500k DSL connection, 45 minutes with a cable modem, or 4 hours with a 56k modem. Obviously, the smaller your file size, the quicker the speed of the upload, but the speed of your connection to the web will have an enormous impact on the overall time required for your upload.
In instances where you are working with large file sizes and slow connection speeds, we recommend you take advantage of option #2, below, and mail your file to us, on a CD.
2. Mailing your digital file on a CD, is another easy way to deliver your digital images to us, incurring a small $25.00 fee for manual handling and upload. And, since we have both platforms (Mac & PC), you can send us your work in either file format, without worry.
This is really the best form of delivery, when you are working with large file sizes and slow connections to the web. While it may delay our ability to begin your edition by a few days (until we receive your CD), it will save you the aggravation of those frustratingly long upload times at minimal cost.
Please direct your CDs to:
Graphik Dimensions Ltd.

All CDs should be accompanied by your completed order form and copyright form.
3. In rare instances, it may be appropriate for you to e-mail us your file as an attachment. This is only a reasonable option when you are working with very small file sizes (5mb or less) and plan to create small prints (e.g. 4x6s).
If this method of delivery is necessary, please direct it to:
GicleePrints@Pictureframes.com
You will also need to send us your completed order form and copyright form before we can create your proof(s). For the sake of expediency, we recommend you fax these documents to the attention of “Giclee Prints”, at 336/887-3777.
You may also mail us your completed order form and copyright form, but we will not be able to generate your proof(s) before we’ve received them.
