Pre-Production
1-5 Business Days to Have Your Proof On its Way to You

Depending on the format in which we receive your work (digital, transparency or original), and the condition in which it arrives, we can have your proof on its way to you in 1-5 business days. If, for example, you send us a digital original, with uncorrupted data, we can print it right away, whereas, a less-than-pristine transparency will likely require cleaning before we can even scan it, requiring more time, before we’re able to ship your proof out to you.

Proofing
1-5 Business Days to Have Your First Proof On its Way to You
2-3 Business Days for Each Round of Color-Correcting

This depends on the quality of the original material we received. If, for example, you supplied us with a digital original that you’ve already found to your liking, then you will probably be happy with your very first proof.

If you need a large amount of color-correcting, however, then you might find yourself going through more than one proof, which will obviously add time to the process.  Typically, each cycle of color-correcting can add 2-3 business days to the process.

It is, of course, our goal to exceed your expectations the first-time around, so all proofs come under the keen and watchful eyes of our acclaimed Master Giclee Printmaker, an award-winning artist in his own right.  The majority of the time, we’ve found that our clients are happy with their very first proof and find they have neither need nor desire to spend more time or money on additional ones.

Production
We Must Have Final Validated Proof Before Starting Production
2-7 Business Days to Have Unframed Editions On Their Way to You
3-10 Business Days to Have Matted & Framed Editions On Their Way to You

Once you’ve validated your proof, so we know it’s final, it takes us only 2-7 business days to get your editions on their merry way to you, from our workshop, depending on the quantity of your edition (a run of 5 prints can be completed and shipped far more quickly than a run of 500).  And, all editions printed onto canvas will come in at the slightly longer end of the 2-7 day spread, as canvas prints require clear coating, to protect and preserve the integrity of the artwork, which typically doesn’t receive glazing, taking both time to apply and time to dry.

If you’re having us mat and frame your work, then this will also figure in to the overall timeline.  The specific amount of time will vary based on the scope of the professional finishing you’ve requested.

Reprints
Shorter Timelines by Skipping the Pre-Production & Proofing Stages
2-7 Business Days to Have Unframed Reprints On Their Way to You
3-10 Business Days to Have Matted & Framed
Reprints On Their Way to You

If your edition sells out faster than you can say, “Botticelli” (and we certainly hope it does!), you’ll be able to request additional prints at any time, in the future, without any set-up fees or time spent on pre-production and proofing.  This is made possible by our digital archiving of all the data that went into creating your edition, as well as the retention of the printer's proof that you signed, indicating your approval and authorizing us to proceed with printing your edition. Therefore, all subsequent impressions are guaranteed to meet with your discerning eye.

Like the original production process, it takes 2-7 business days to have your reprints on their way to you, based on the quantity of your edition, and whether you’re printing onto canvas.

NOTE: Final timelines will also be affected by where your work is being shipped (typically 1-7 business days), as well as the shipping method you’ve chosen, so please keep this in mind if you need your edition expedited.
