“Every project is different and deserves close attention to detail. Each artist has high standards about specific colors and brush strokes, so I respect each piece as if it were my very own artwork.”
An Award-Winning Artist with a Passion for Cutting Edge Technology
In fact, William has won numerous awards as an artist, including the Cecile R. Hunt Memorial Award from Webster University and the Texas Emerging Artist of 2003 from the Texas Arts & Crafts Festival.
“The computer has changed our way of life as we know it. We are living on a digital frontier, so for my creative outlet I use a digital medium. It reflects the time I am living in. Can you see why the giclee method is so appealing to me?”
Discovering his Calling as a Printmaker
William’s natural intuition and eye for color, combined with his extensive education in printmaking, has proved to be a genius combination. He discovered his calling as a printmaker as he attended college in the early 1990s.
“I was drawn to the medium instantly. I was an underclassman studying as a classically trained artist. When I first learned how to make reproductions, I was excited because more was accomplished from my time and hard work. My professors lit a fire under me and soon enough I was studying printmaking.”
Fast-forward to the present day. William earned the highly distinguished Master’s Degree of Printmaking from the University of Texas in San Antonio and pictureframes.com instantly recognized him as the best of the best. The rest is history, much to the acclaim of our editions clients who have been reaping the benefits ever since 2005.
