* These papers are acid-free, making them archival quality (designed to last a lifetime or longer) – and ideal for those doing conservation framing.

Of course, if there is any other printing surface with which you’d like to work, that may not be standard to our offerings, our Sr. Editions Consultant will happily look into acquiring it, on your behalf.  Prices will vary.

Canvas-Specific Items

Canvas Prints Come Unstretched
Canvas Prints Can be Ordered Stretched or Mounted
(see prices below)

If you would like your work stretched, we have a couple of different options:

  • Stretching a Canvas Print on Stretcher Bars – Many people feel that canvas on stretcher bars looks and feels most like an original painting
  • Mounting a Canvas Print to Foamcore – This achieves a look that’s similar to canvas board and enables the use of frames with very shallow rabbets, expanding your framing choices

Both methods of stretching will add stability to a canvas print and are available at a small additional fee.

For each inch over 42”, add .35 per inch.

  • Cost is based on the size of the item to be stretched, so a print that’s 20”x24”, for example, will be the equivalent of the 20” sides, plus the 24” sides ($13.80 + 15.40 = $29.20).

Cost for Mounting a Canvas Print to Foamcore
Drymounting canvas, without framing, onto foamcore is $1.50/sq. foot (min. $1.50). There is also the cost of the foamcore, itself, which is 1.25/sq. foot. We use a sturdy foamcore for this task, at nearly 3/16 of an inch.

If you’d like to have your canvas prints stretched, but have limited storage space, we suggest that you look into our editions archiving services, designed to take the pressure off your space.
