Professional Photographer gets Christmas Early

Fine Art Print Quality Meets Streamlined Ordering and Superior Customer Service
When professional photographer Rameshwar Das received his large order from Graphik Dimensions Ltd./pictureframes.com, he felt like a kid at Christmas — unwrapping wonderful present after wonderful present.

Das, a photographer and photography teacher, placed the order after hearing positive comments from colleagues and trying pictureframes.com for himself with a few smaller orders. His larger order consisted of 36 images, taken by nine different photographers. The images were printed in three sizes (16x24, 12x18 and 24x24) — all vivid Gallery Wraps. The skilled printmakers reproduced the work on Matte Finish Canvas with Black Borders. The photographs ranged from scenic landscapes to the minute details of nature and were created for an environmental photography class led by Das. Those photographs would turn into a world-class photography exhibit.

"The quality
of the canvas-stretched prints is excellent, and I say that as a photographer who has looked at images for more than
three decades."

“Sending off the order was a bit like jumping off a cliff because it was a large order and I was taking a big financial responsibility for reproducing other people's work,” Das said. “I told myself there would be at least one or two that would probably need reprinting but they all looked good. The quality of the canvas-stretched prints is excellent, and I say that as a photographer who has looked at images for more than three decades.”

Das called it a “pleasure” to work with his pictureframes.com Customer Care Representative. In this case, the representative assisted with quantity pricing and helped save him even more money by selecting the best shipping method, all while staying in constant, graceful contact. Meanwhile, the production schedule stayed on track.

“I was concerned about the lack of hands-on approval, but [the] ordering process was seamless and the results pleased me, my students and the organization that sponsored the exhibit,” he said.

Bringing Nature to Life
That organization is the Nature Conservancy and the exhibit is called “Warhol Preserved: Impressions of the Andy Warhol Preserve, Montauk.” In 1992, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts donated a 15-acre tract of land in Montauk, N.Y. known now as the Andy Warhol Preserve to the Nature Conservancy. Foundation organizers aimed for the move to protect the ecologically significant Montauk Moorlands and promote the visual arts.

The donation has served its purpose, with the Nature Conservancy sponsoring four or more visual art events every year. Those events have brought exhibits, visiting artists, workshops and school groups to the preserve with beautiful, inspiring views from its cliffs and beaches. Rameshwar Das’s exhibit is the latest of those events.

The artists will donate 25 percent from sales of the prints to the Nature Conservancy, a conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.
