Hi. I know the exact size required for the mat opening, it is 22 1/2" x 17". The mat border should be about 2.5". What is the frame size for that Mat?
Trevor B on Apr 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Trevor! Based on the opening in the Mat being 22 1/2"x 17" with 2.5" borders, the inside dimensions of the frame will be 27 1/4"x 21 3/4". We slightly reduce the opening of the Mat by 1/4" to make sure the image does not fall through the opening of the Mat. If you need further assistance, please let us know. Happy Framing!
Would this custom wood frame fit a painted stretched canvas? What is the thickness of the frame?
Inna B on Mar 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Inna! This gorgeous frame has a rabbet/depth of 1/2" which will work with a painted stretched canvas within that depth. If you are referring to the depth of the frame when you mention thickness of the frame, the depth is 1/2". If you are referring to the face of the frame, the width is 1.25". Thanks!
