Float frames
I ordered 3 of these for the recent canvas paintings I did and they arrived quickly. I was a little confused with the brackets used to place the paintings in the frames. I figured it out and they look beautiful on my wall. Great project. THX

Tough to assemble
I didn't like this frame too much. The instructions were difficult to follow so I haven't been able to use it.

Classy Frame
I bought the frame for my granddaughter's first painting. It looks great--the perfect complement. I added 1/8th of an inch in both sides to make sure the canvas fit. As it turned out, the frame was cut enough to accommodate the canvas without it. I highly recommend the canvas floaters from pictureframes.com

Simply lovely
This company was recommended to me by a fellow artist, and now I am passing the recommendation on. This was the first time I have used a floater frame for a painting on deep canvas, and it turned out just great, giving the painting a very professional looking trim. The instructions tor attaching the canvas to the frame could have given a few more details; figured it out, though.

Chipped paint
It was otherwise an OK frame but they had cut/stapled the corners in a way that chipped paint off of each of them. It cheapens the effect and is lousy workmanship.

Perfectly shows off art without distraction!
I highly recommend these box frames. I order a lot of the white ones, as well as a number of the black. I like their minimalist finish to my paintings and definitely help the paintings to sell when in galleries. They are high quality and look great!

I purchased a canvas art and did not feel the weight would fit in a poster or picture frame securely without a customized very expensive frame job. This looks like something I can do myself and the dimensions and details were clearly stated. I want this artwork to pop from the wall not just lay flat.

Not too dark, it will not over-balance the contrasts of the painting I have it in mind-for.
Alice W on Apr 19, 2018
Needed floater because surface of canvas was built up irregularly around the edges and would not necessarily fit in standard frame.
Barbara D on Apr 18, 2018
Even though it's contemporary in design, the texture of the wood grain gives it a slightly rustic feel which is exactly what I wanted.
Tammy J on Feb 14, 2018
This frame has a very minimal profile, so it will work well with the four 6x6 canvases I'm putting it around. I've ordered it several times before in different finishes and it always arrives with perfectly finished corners and without any warping. I have always had good luck with your frames, about a hundred so far.

Is 1 & 5/8th" the deepest floater frame that you have? My painting is 24" X 36" X 1 & 5/8th". Should the canvas be recessed or will being flush with the frame look just as good?
A shopper on Feb 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello! The deepest floater frame we have is 1 5/8" in depth. Thank you for your inquiry!
Hello! I would like to purchase these frames for photographs that are mounted on a 1/8th inch thick backing board. Would these frames work for this type of item or would I need to mount the photos on a thicker backing board?
Thank you!
Sue G on Sep 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I love it! It was very easy to assemble and added value to my artwork.
I actually got two of it!’one for an all black and white piece and one for a more traditional artwork. Super happy with the quality and service!
My painting is 15 3/4" x 15 3/4" with rabbet 5/8" love this floating frame, would it fit with this floating frame despite small rabbet or you will recommend another one?
A shopper on Jun 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would think you'd want a shallower depth frame maybe? Your painting would sit deep unless you have a way of putting spacers behind it to bring it forward?
My canvas picture is 1 1/4" deep, and 12" x 16": I am confused about what sizes to put in the order box because when I input 16" wide by 12" high, it populates 17" x 13" as outside measurement, which seems too large. Should I input the exact measurement, and will this frame work for a 1 1/4" deep canvas box frame?
A shopper on Mar 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello. Please enter the artwork size as, size 12"x16". The outside dimensions are giving you the amount of space the frame will occupy on the wall. The depth of the frame is 1 5/8" which will work with a 1 1/4" canvas. Thank you for your inquiry!
Can I use this with a canvas with a depth of 1.75"?
Nicole Z on Mar 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Nicole. Yes, you can use a canvas with a depth of 1.75" with this frame. The rabbet/depth is 1 5/8" on the frame. Thanks!
What is the depth of this frame? I have one piece that is 1.5" in depth and one that is .75". Will this work for either or both of those?
Ken V on Jul 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello Ken! Thank you for reaching out to us. The Canvas box frame has a d depth of 1 5/8". The depth of the frame is perfect for your canvas that is 1.5". If you are hoping to use the frame with the .75" deep canvas, the canvas will recess inside the frame by 1/2" or more. I hope this information was helpful. Please give us a call if you need more assistance, we can be reached at 1-800-332-8884. Happy Framing!
I have a rolled up canvas which is 21 by 15.5". So, it's not stretched. Am I right in assuming I would need to independently stretch this canvas over a wooden frame of depth 1 and 5/8's before I can use this floating frame?
Richard E on Jun 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Richard! We appreciate you considering us for your framing needs. Your are absolutely correct in assuming you need to have the canvas stretched before you order a frame. You have the option of deciding the depth of the stretcher bars. Depending on how much space is left around the sides of the artwork, you can gauge what depth will work best. You will need to examine the focal point of the artwork and determine how much of the edges you want to wrap around the stretcher bars. The CB4 frame has a depth of 1 1/4" which will require stretcher bars 1 1/4" thick. I hope this information was helpful. Please let us know if you need further assistance. We can be reached by phone at 1-800-332-8884, or you can email us at customercare@pictureframes.com. Happy Framing!
I like this floater. I paint a lot on .25 inch masonite. Is it correct to assume I would need some kind of a strainer to attach to the frame first?
Robert S on May 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you will need to add more depth to the back of the Masonite board to fit the Canvas box. Thank you!
