Very nice frame
Very pleased with the convenience at picture frames.com. I believe this was a great value for a custom made frame! I gave 4 stars because I felt that this frame was darker than it looks in the photo, although certainly lives up to the "Black walnut" written description. In life it seems to read much more black than natural wood tone. But, overall very happy. Thanks!

I got this frame for a photo that was already backed. The Black Walnut finish really makes the picture "pop" and is very well made. I am very pleased with my purchase. The instructions included in the package were very helpful.

Beautiful frame, great quality and so easy to select specifications! Just had to type in the measurements of my print and select my frame style and done! Nice Frame
It's a nice frame, had a couple deep scratches on the frame - no damage to the outer box and was packaged really well! It's a simple frame and it looks good. Just a little annoyed with the scratches on the frame.

Not the best value but good convenience
When including the very high shipping cost, I think this frame was not a good value. It is constructed of low-quality particle wood covered with a veneer that does not look very much like real wood but is acceptable. I did enjoy the convenience of online ordering, receiving it at my front door, and the fairly quick production and delivery time. Installation of my print with the provided hardware was fairly simple and fast.

Cheap quality
The frame consists primarily of some form of cheap MDF as a core. The outer layer is paper thin. The hardware does not work well with the size of frame.

I am nearing the end of a crewel embroidery project that has several different pieces that are hung on the wall. I am completing the South Rose Window of Chartres Cathedral. This frame I hope is close to the color of the rather large round frame of the Rose. From the catalog the color is good. I just didn't want the lower frames to pull red. I have ordered other frames from this Company and was satisfied.

Is the acrylic removable? We would like to frame a map that we will be writing on occasionally and would like to do it without removing it from the frame every time, so we would like to frame it with the backing but without the acrylic.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, the acrylic is just like a piece of glass in any frame. It comes out. You can order the frame without the acrylic. The foamcore backing you can get at Blick's or a place like it.
