An Egyptian-inspired gold leaf picture frame, this has the feel of movement thanks to rippling ridges flowing from a raised pyramid pattern, all with antiqued patina. Its 2 ½” wide panel beautifully showcases art prints and photographs with a totally unique look.

Great frame but "antiquing" rubs off
This frame looks great on the art, an oil panel with ArtResin layer. There is a problem with the gold "antiquing" rubbing off on hands and anything that comes into contact with it. I did contact customer support and they thought that spraying the frame with matte polyurethane would solve the problem. We'll see. I had to hang this right away, so didn't have time to spray it before hanging.

Response from pictureframes.com
Hello Bill. Thank you so much for your feedback. We are pleased to know the frame accentuates your art very well. After speaking with our Purchasing Manager, we can confirm the frame does not need to be sprayed with polyurethane. The corners of the frame have finishing material applied to the frame if needed. The finishing material is not applied all over the entire frame and should not present an issue. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Happy Framing!

Customer review says that the "antiquing" rubs off, which is not acceptable. is it true? Can you guys apply the matte finish mentioned?

BEST ANSWER: It is certainly NOT true with my frame. My frame is 1/2 year old and looks just like it did when I got it. It hangs in the master bath where it is subject to swings in temperature and in humidity with no problems. If I had the problem, I would probably purchase a can of polyurethane spray in satin or matte, remove the art work & spray it. BTW, I also purchased a linin liner with the frame & have no problem with it either.
