Which is better for small watercolor paintings? GM7 or GM6

Thank you for your inquiry. There are a few differences between the frames. GM6 has a width of 3/4" and a rabbet of 1 1/8". So this is a narrower frame that can accommodate a thicker piece of artwork. GM7 has a width of 15/16" and a rabbet of 1/2" making this a better frame for thinner artwork, but the width of the frame is a little larger. You can always order free 3" samples of both frames to compare them side by side and in comparison to your artwork. Hope this helps. Some framing shops say their frames are "real wood" but really it's a distressed "real wood" frame. So, yes, it's real "wood" but not solid like rough cut maple. Could you please explain this to me? I refer to real wood as a log or tree limb or a piece of firewood, not ground up then pressed to fit a profile. Please get back to me I'd appreciate it very much. Thank you so much!
