Hello Dean! Thank you for placing your recent order! We have the retainer clips which are pressure mounted clips used to hold in the artwork. In the future, please give us a call and request we add 'flexible points' to the back of the frame. These points are an alternate way to secure the backing. We typically do not use points in all frames due to not knowing the amount of space each Customer needs in the back of the frames. If needed,we can give you more details at 1-800-332-8884. Beautiful frame, lightweight
I love this frame. It may be too ornate for the size I chose- 8x10. It overpowers the art a bit in a way I didnt expect. I was going for ornate, so I was surprised. However, it is beautiful. It is lighter than expected, but I dont know if thats a sign of quality- it seems well made and came with helpful hardware. However it required finagaling to get a standard stretched canvas to fit.

I bought a canvas painting in France - not stretched over wood frame-just the canvas. How do I frame my canvas painting using this frame? Will it need to be stretched over a wooden frame first?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Charlotte! Thank you for your inquiry. Stretching the canvas would not be a requirement to frame it in this frame. You would want to consider adding the clear acrylic front and foam backing to provide support for your canvas and ensure that it stands up properly inside the frame. We hope that this helpful. Can I add a linen liner? Also my canvas is 3/4"deep, will this fit inside the rabbit?

BEST ANSWER: Hello! Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we would not be able to add a linen liner to this frame since it is premade in popular standard sizes. The rabbet on this frame is also 3/8" meaning your canvas would not sit flush with the frame.

We do have a custom frame that might provide all the answers! Check out WS6. It has a similar color and profile style to the frame you are looking at. WS6 can have a linen liner added to it and the rabbet is 3/4".
